The anatomy of a comic

Every comic has a cover, story pages, and a back cover. The cover and back are single full-page splash images (the cover can carry your title, issue number, and series name). Story pages hold panels, and each panel has a scene description, an optional caption, action notes, and dialogue lines with named speakers.

How art is generated

A page renders as one AI-composed image — the panel grid, gutters, and speech balloons are drawn together, which is what makes pages look designed rather than stitched. Generate everything at once with Generate All, or one page at a time from the This-page tools.

When the script and the art drift

Change the script after a page was drawn and that page is marked Out of date — the words moved, the art didn’t. Regenerate the page to bring them back together; the flag disappears.

Fixing one panel

On a finished page you can redraw a single panel inside the page image — the rest of the page is preserved exactly. Look for Regenerate This Panel on the panel’s card in Script view.

Your own images

Upload Image (in the This-page tools) replaces the current page’s art with your own picture — the page shows exactly what you uploaded.

Rearranging

Reorder Pages drags story pages into a new order. The cover and back are structural — they always stay first and last.
